Filtering and Spam Control

Here you can configure your account spam configuration, Holiday autoresponder, Forwarding, Filtering rules and exceptions, Safe address list, Spam Control and Challenge unknown sender options accordingly.

  1. DISABLED- no spam filtering done: Surgemail spam handling is disabled. All email will be delivered to your inbox without being marked in any way as spam by Surgemail.
  2. Mark probable spam and deliver to Inbox: If you receive little spam, you may want to deliver any message that is probably spam to your Spam folder or to your Inbox for review. Currently set to mark and deliver to your Inbox
  3. Mark probable spam and deliver to Spam folder: If you receive little spam, you may want to deliver any message that is probably spam to your Spam folder or to your Inbox for review. Currently set to mark and deliver to your Spam folder.
  4. Challenge almost certain spam, mark likely spam RECOMMENDED: If you receive lots of spam, the recommended spam handling will split probable spam into:

- likely spam - which should be checked occasionally for false positives - subject marked in your inbox
- almost certainly spam - which you probably need never look at - delivered to your spam folder with friends challenge for delayed delivery to inbox
